Fish Auction

Direct unloading of vessels takes place daily from the hours of 11:00 AM through 4:00 AM the following morning. The product is immediately culled for counts, weighed, boxed, iced, and placed in the auction cooler.

All products are displayed in the auction cooler in 100-1500 pound lots by specie and size. The auct ion is conducted by specie and size, therefore, proceeds quickly. The auction will continue to the next specie until all lots are sold. The auction starts 6:00 AM. Monday through fish fillets Friday. The Auctions Electronic system controls each transaction.

The winner of a bid has several seconds to choose at least one lot or up to forty-five hundred pounds. The seller then has several seconds to accept or scratch the bid before it is finalized. If the seller decides to scratch the bid then the lot scratched is rolled to a second auction that proceeds the initial auction. If the seller scratches in the second auction, the buyer can manually put in a sealed bid for the product. If the seller scratches on the sealed bid the product can be rolled over to the next days auction or taken out of the system with the additional buyers fee.

AUCTION HOURS: Fish auction will start promptly at 6:00 am. Monday through Friday.

BUYER FEES AND ELIGIBILITY : Any potential dealer wishing to purchase product at the exchange must comply with the financial criteria determined necessary by the exchange's management on an individual basis and will be strictly adhered to. The exchange reserves the right to alter the amount of the letter of credit/bond requirements to accommodate any purchasing pattern of an exchange member. The exchange further reserves the right to revoke and or dismiss any member of the exchange for non-compliance to the financial criteria aforementioned.

FISH HANDLING FEES: Fish handling fees will be .12 cents per pound to the buyer and .03 cents per pund for the seller.

ALL FISH will be displayed in a maximum of fifteen totes per lot.

SELLER HAILS: Sellers are advised to call five hours in advance with hails and ETA to schedule unloading. Unloading hours will be 6:00 AM on Sundays and 10:00 AM through 4:00 AM auction morning. DISPLAY OF PRODUCTS: The auction will display all fresh fish by lot number, species and seller. All seafood will be displayed between the hours of 4:00 AM 6:00 AM.

FOR INSPECTION: We have established an open door policy for all buyers to view the unloading of the vessels.

TRUCK DELIVERIES: To insure correct culls, all truck deliveries will be re-culled, re-weighed, and re-iced. (No product will be displayed in cardboard boxes or improper containers).

VENDORS MAY bring product in via trucks between the hours of 12:00 p.m. through 4:00 a.m. Sunday through Friday. The product will be posted under the vessel name and paid for in said vessels name when physically unloaded at our unloading facility. Third parties desiring to consign product through the auction will be posted and paid for using their company names. No misrepresentatives will be made at any time.

AUCTION OF PRODUCT: Eligible bidders will compete until the high bid wins. the buyer then can pick what lot of fish they want to purchase. They may take any of all fish within that cull size up to forty-five hundred pounds.

SETTLEMENTS: All settlement checks will be available the same day after 1:00 p.m.

SOLD PRODUCT: All fish sold at the exchange must be picked up before 1:00 p.m. on the same day of purchase.

PAYMENTS: Payment is due on Monday before 12:00 pm for previous weeks invoices. if the buyer exceeds their credit limit before the week is over they must pay down their payables in order to purchase on the next days auction. There will be no exceptions.

FISH TOTES AND PALLETS: All totes must be washed and sanitized and pallets must be exchanged at time of pick-up or they will be charged to buyer at market price.

ALL SALES ARE FINAL: Non-compliance to all exchange rules and policies will result in the revocation of purchasing privileges and immediate dismissal should the exchange management deem to exercise the right.
